B24 Liberator remains found in the Loch
Flash stands beside the small island where the engine perches.. Flash holds up a flattened cylinder, we've been reliably informed that it's an oxygen cylinder from an area behind the cockpit. Myself holding the only piece we found with writing on it, unfortunately it doesn't show up too well in the picture. This is how the peaty water looked, you could see about one metre into the murk, I spotted the curve of this prop blade shown in the picture and lifted it to the surface. Flash holds up the prop blade, probably the first time it's been seen for over fifty years, the yellow paint on the tip still in excellent condition, we then returned the blade to the bottom of the loch.
